Zootopia 2 release date: When will the animal detectives hop back into to theaters?

The release date for the animated sequel Zootopia 2 starring Jason Bateman and Ginnifer Goodwin is coming soon.

Zootopia 2 is the animated buddy cop comedy sequel that you’ve been waiting for. Featuring the return of Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), Zootopia 2 promises to deliver more animal action with returning and new characters alike. So when should you mark the release date for Zootopia 2 in theaters on your calendar?

The Zootopia 2 release date is November 26 in theaters. In other words, you can expect Zootopia 2 to slither into theaters just ahead of Thanksgiving. It’s been almost a decade since the first Zootopia was released in March 2016. Of course, it doesn't take a detective to know that there are a lot of exciting movie release dates to come in the next few months. Here’s the official trailer for Zootopia 2:

In addition to Goodwin and Bateman, there are many other actors returning to reprise their roles from the first movie for the sequel. These include Tommy Chong as Yax the yak, Idris Elba as cape buffalo Chief Bogo, Bonnie Hunt as Judy’s mother Bonnie Hopps, Don Lake as Judy’s father Stu Hopps, Shakira as pop star Gazelle, Jenny Slate as sheep Dawn Bellwether, Nate Torrence as cheetah Benjamin Clawhauser and Alan Tudyk as weasel crook Duke Weaselton. Plus, Zootopia 2 will feature a plethora of fresh actors as well. These include Quinta Brunson as quokka Dr. Fuzzby, Macaulay Culkin, Fortune Feimster as beaver Nibbles Maplestick, Ke Huy Quan as pit viper Gary De’Snake, Jean Reno as goat Bushron, Brenda Song, Wilmer Valderrama and Patrick Warburton as stallion Mayor Winddance. In the sequel, Judy and Nick are in pursuit of Gary, who is attempting to provide for his family.

The release date for Zootopia 2 in theaters is November 26.
