Have you ever heard someone say they would lose their own head if it wasn’t attached to their body? That’s exactly what happened to Peter Facinelli. The actor lost his head in 2012, and he has no idea where it is now.
In fairness, we’re talking about a movie prop.
Facinelli played Carlisle Cullen in the Twilight franchise. The 2012 film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 proved to be a deadly one for his character. Carlisle’s adoptive daughter Alice has a vision, and it doesn’t go well for the Cullens. During a battle with Aro, Carlisle’s head is ripped off, killing the ancient vampire.
Luckily this vision was prevented, and Carlisle survived. But what happened to the severed head?
This question was brought up during a Twilight reunion panel at Emerald City Comic Con. “The head got chopped off, and the fun part of that was watching you guys go crazy with it when my head got chopped off,” Facinelli recalled. “Did you get to keep your severed head,” Jackson Rathbone asked.
“No, I wish. That would be cool. I don’t know where that is,” Facinelli answered.
Kellan Lutz then pointed to himself and smiled, as if to say that he had it. “Kellan’s got it, under his desk, in a fishbowl somewhere,” Facinelli joked.
Too bad Facinelli didn’t get to keep it. Having your own severed head could be fun.
