What Arnold Schwarzenegger thinks of his cameo in the Running Man remake, according to writer/director Edgar Wright
How The 2025 Running Man remake isn't looking to replicated Arnold Schwarzenegger's original movie, while still paying respect to it.

Edgar Wright wants to be clear, his version of The Running Man isn’t a remake of the 1987 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, but instead a more faithful adaptation of the Stephen King novel. However, that doesn’t mean the director is ignoring the original film.
“I would say it’s more faithful to the book. We do pay homage to the great Arnold in the movie,” Wright says during a Running Man spotlight panel at New York City Comic Con.
Glen Powell, who is playing Arnold’s character Ben Richards, took things a step further and revealed the funny homage Wright came up with. “Arnold is on the $100 bill. This is a group that I want to give all the spoilers to, but I don’t know if I’m allowed to,” Powell says.
“We called [Schwarzenegger] before we started filming, because he had given his permission to put him on the money, and I told him on the call, ‘Oh, we made you the hundred.’ And he goes,’[Arnold impression] I’m very happy about that.’ He got the highest denomination of the money,” Wright says. “He was very excited and very supportive of this movie,” Powell adds.
In fairness, if my face were on a $100 bill, I would be pretty supportive of a movie as well.
The Running Man hits most theaters on November 14.
