Forget all-ages, we need more pet-friendly Superman comics & merch for our own Kryptos
Face it, our pets control a lot of our spending - and DC & Warner Bros. have a doggone good idea.

If you have a pet, then you know how they control a lot of our spending choices - either in buying stuff for them or buying stuff they won't destroy. For DC Studios' upcoming movie Superman, Warner Bros. Consumer Products is going doggone crazy with Krypto merch - not just for you and me, but for our pets.
There is a pet bandana with the movie's Superman shield over on DCShop.com, a Rubies Superman pet costume (in three sizes no less) with legs, a Superman adjustable harness, a Superman Plushie dog toy, Superman waste bag holders, Superman collars , Superman leashes, and my favorite, this great Superman dog pet blanket.
Krypto has a long history in comics as Superman's best friend, but the decision to include him in DC Studios' upcoming Superman movie came from the heart of writer/director Jams Gunn. Gunn has said that he and his partner adopted a dog named Ozu soon after he got the Superman job, and had a bit of a rough phase - to the point that Gunn, who was writing Superman at the time, was thankfully his dog didn't have superpowers. Then came the idea to include Krypto in the Superman movie.
The Superman movie lands in theaters July 11.
James Gunn's Superman movie is out now - and we have a lot to say about it. You can also read about Superman's S-Shield through the ages, how Superman and Clark Kent keep their secret identity secret, our recs for best Superman comics, and how to watch all his TV series and movies in order.
