Shudder to release eight horror movies, including Nightwatch and the original Speak No Evil, on Blu-ray thanks to new Arrow Video deal
The deal will make some modern classic horror movies available on physical media for the first time

Good news for horror fans looking to build out their physical collections in 2025: Horror streaming platform Shudder and indie physical media company Arrow Video have announced plans to bring eight of Shudder’s exclusive catalog of streaming horror movies to Blu-ray in special limited-edition releases.
“Arrow’s stellar work is a staple of our shelves. To see Shudder films get the treatment is a privilege and a delight,” Shudder vice president of programming Sam Zimmerman said in a statement released to Variety, which broke the news of the partnership. Arrow sales and marketing director Dean Lawson added, “After years of working with the AMC team licensing many films from the Arrow Video catalogue for the vaunted Shudder platform, it’s fantastic to now showcase a selection of their Originals on physical media in 2025.”
The eight movies slated for physical release as part of this new agreement are:
- Nightwatch, directed by Ole Bornedal (1994)
- Hellbender, directed by John Adams, Zelda Adams, and Toby Poser (2021)
- The Sadness, directed by Rob Jabbaz (2021)
- Deadstream, directed by Joseph Winter and Vanessa Winter (2022)
- Speak No Evil, directed by Christian Tafdrup (2022)
- Huesera: The Bone Woman, directed by Michelle Garza Cervera (2022)
- Nightwatch: Demons are Forever, directed by Ole Bornedal (2023)
- Perpetrator, directed by Jennifer Reeder (2023)
There’s a wrinkle to this story; not all discs will be available in all regions. Hellbender will only be released in the US, while The Sadness, Deadstream, Speak No Evil, Huesera: The Bone Woman, and Nightwatch: Demons are Forever, are currently planned as UK-only releases. (Arrow Video is a UK-based company.)
Release dates for the discs have not been finalized, but Arrow expects them to begin at some point in summer 2025.
