Billy Loomis was a killer, but he wasn’t a cheater. At least that’s what his actor Skeet Ulrich is saying.
The 2022 Scream film introduces Samantha Carpenter, who we learn is Billy Loomis’s illegitimate daughter. It turns out that Billy had a secret relationship with Samantha’s mother Christina. But wait, wouldn’t that mean Billy had cheated on Sidney Prescott, his girlfriend from the original 1996 film?
“No, we were on a break,” Skeet Ulrich says during a panel at GalaxyCon San Jose 2025. “Sidney knew. We talked about it,” Ulrich adds.
When asked who took the break first, Ulrich replied that it was irrelevant. “Doesn’t matter. She ended the break first.”
Honestly, this tracks. High school couples break up and get back together all the time, so it’s conceivable that Billy and Christina conceived Samantha when he was on a break with Sidney.
So, there you have it. Billy didn’t cheat on Sidney. He just tried to kill her (after killing many of her friends). That doesn’t make things any better, but at least Billy can avoid the adulterer label.
