One of the most beloved magic-themed movies of all time is finally getting a sequel. Later this year, you'll be able to buy a ticket to see Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman in Practical Magic 2. So, when will the theatrical release date for Practical Magic 2 arrive?
The Practical Magic 2 release date is September 11th, 2026 in theaters. It has been almost three decades since the original Practical Magic was released in 1998. The sequel is based on The Book of Magic, a 2021 novel by Alice Hoffman. Naturally, Practical Magic 2 is just one of the many big-screen releases that will premiere in the latter part of 2026. Set a quarter of a century after the original film, Practical Magic 2 sees the Owens discovering a shocking revelation about their history. As a result, the family must once more reunite and travel from Massachusetts to the United Kingdom so as to ensure their family magic can sustain the next generation. In addition to Bullock as Sally Owens and Kidman as Gillian Owens, the movie also stars Stockard Channing as Frances Owens, Dianne Wiest as Bridget “Jet” Owens, Joey King as Kylie Owens and Maisie Williams as Antonia Owens. The movie also features Xolo Maridueña as Kylie’s romantic interest as well as Solly McLeod and Lee Pace in undisclosed roles.
