Netflix's new Lindsay Lohan Christmas flick Our Little Secret has already topped "the Citizen Kane of Christmas Movies" (her last one)
More people are tuning in to Netflix's Our Little Secret, starring Lindsay Lohan, than 2022's Falling for Christmas. Don't call it a comeback - call it a Christmas miracle

The Lohan-aissance is upon us. And just in time for the holidays!
It's been just about two weeks since Our Little Secret, the newest Netflix rom-com starring Lindsay Lohan, has begun its streaming dominance, and there's no sign of slowing down. In fact, Our Little Secret has already outpaced another Lohan-led festive flick, despite the fact that critics much prefer the latter.
Some context: Our Little Secret premiered on November 27, 2024, and has been stuffing the metaphorical streaming stocking ever since. In its first week on the streamer, Our Little Secret earned a staggering 32.4 million views. In week two, the view count dropped to a (still incredible) 23.5 million, which was enough to continue its streak as number one film on Netflix.
Compare that to Lohan's other holiday heartwarmer, 2022's Falling for Christmas, which premiered at 30.5 million views and was, at the time, the best opening for an English-language film on Netflix. Whether it was fans of cheesy Christmas romance or Lohan's previous work, that audience appears to have not only stuck around but grown in the intermediate years. The folks who aren't as excited, it seems, are those Grinchy critics.
(As one of them, understand that I say that with love.)
Despite the boffo numbers on Out Little Secret, reviewers aren't as thrilled. To be fair, most agree that Falling for Christmas is a high bar in the holiday rom-com genre, with Samantha Bergeson at IndieWire calling it "the Citizen Kane of Netflix Christmas movies." That apparently translates to a 62% (and counting) on Rotten Tomatoes for the 2022 flick that stars Chord Overstreet as Lohan's romantic foil, as compared to the 38% for this year's entry, which puts Lohan and Ian Harding together.
But I wouldn't worry about the boos and the bah humbugs - Lindsay Lohan is a certified Christmas star, and as long as people keep putting her at the top of their Nice Lists, Netflix is going to keep putting her at the top of theirs.
Falling for Christmas and Our Little Secret are streaming on Netflix now.
