The Marvel Studios Hall H panel at SDCC this year won’t be about Spider-Man: Brand New Day

The Marvel Studios SDCC panel this year will focus on Avengers: Doomsday, according to reports

Marvel Studios is returning to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con this year, but don't expect Spider-Man to be swinging into their presentation, even though Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters a week later.

According to a report from TheWrap, Marvel Studios will return to its Saturday night Hall H time slot for a panel about Avengers: Doomsday. Last year, the studio sat out of SDCC entirely, since SDCC 2025 coincided with the release weekend of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. It was at SDCC 2024 that Robert Downey Jr. unveiled himself as the man behind the Doctor Doom mask in Avengers: Doomsday. So it's safe to say that there will be a considerable amount of hype for Marvel Studios' presentation at San Diego this year.

The hype train for Avengers: Doomsday has been going strong this year. Just last week at CinemaCon, audiences were treated to a full trailer of Avengers: Doomsday that has yet to be released online. Meanwhile, Spider-Man: Brand New Day isn't the only upcoming Marvel Studios project. The Punisher: One Last Kill, a "special presentation" created for Disney+, will hit the streamer on May 12, 2026. At New York Comic Con 2025, Marvel Studios screened a trailer for the VisionQuest show that's due to be released later this year. And it's worth noting that six months later, in April 2026, Marvel Studios still hasn't released the VisionQuest trailer online.

Still, given just how beloved Spider-Man is around the world, we can't imagine that Marvel Studios won't be promoting the heck out of Brand New Day this summer - although the movie is, of course, officially a Sony Pictures production. Does this mean we'll just get a brief mention and then it'll be all Doom all the time? We'll just have to wait and see.
