Salma Hayek had a hilarious (and honest) reaction when she saw Danny Trejo's tattoo of her for the first time

Would you believe that it led to a Thanksgiving dinner invitation?

What would you do if you found out that a man you’ve never met tattooed an image of you on his chest? If you’re Salma Hayek, you would invite them over for Thanksgiving dinner.

Years before he became an actor, Danny Trejo tattooed the image of a woman on his chest. At the time Salma Hayek was not a household name, so the resemblance was a coincidence. However, once the resemblance became clear, Trejo called it destiny. He regularly acknowledges Hayek as “the woman who is tattooed on my chest.” The two actors met during the filming of the 1995 movie Desperado. As you can imagine, it didn’t take long for the tattoo to come up.

During a spotlight panel at Fan Expo San Francsico, Trejo recalled the moment he showed the tattoo to Hayek. “Somebody told her that it looked just like her, so when I walked into the room, she said, ‘Oh my god.’ So, I showed it to her, and she said, ‘It does,’ but then she goes, ‘Except for the tits.’”

Trejo then shared a story about what Hayek did when she learned that he was alone on Thanksgiving. “She called me, and said, ‘Danny, are you alone for Thanksgiving.’ And I said, ‘Yeah.’ But I wasn’t going to be alone. I was going to find somebody. She said, ‘Would you come over to my house?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah.’ And it was actually her family, and she invited me to have dinner with her family. And I thought it was the sweetest thing in the world. So, one of the highlights of my life was eating turkey with Salma Hayek.”

Now we just need Hayek to get a Trejo tattoo, and this will be the most adorable friendship in Hollywood.
