Presumably reprising their roles In the Fox films, McKellen, Cumming, Romijn, & Marsden would rejoin X-men alums Patrick Stewart, Kelsey Grammer, and potentially more

On March 26, via an hours-long livestream, Marvel Studios announced that Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, and Rebecca Romijn will feature in Avengers: Doomsday. And while there is no official confirmation of their roles, we can almost certainly assume that X-Men of Fox's X-Men films will reprise their characters.
If so, Avengers: Doomsday will be the first time we've seen a McKellen Magneto since 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past, the first time we've seen Cumming's Nightcrawler since 2003's X2, the first time we've seen Romijn's Mystique and Marsden's Cyclops since 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand. Though the characters were all expected by many to appear in last year's Deadpool & Wolverine, they did not, although one of the characters does make a mention of a Magneto dying in The Void, and his signature helmet was an important plot piece.
Perhaps we'll learn more about that Mageneto in Avengers: Doomsday. Although hopefully we'll get to see him, you know, alive. We hope they're all alive? Sure would be a bummer if not.
Avengers: Doomsday psychically bends its way into theaters May 1, 2026.
