"Let's shoot this piece of s**t" should be the new "Action" in all Hollywood films.

What’s it like to work with a Hollywood legend like Harrison Ford? The man who has embodied so many iconic characters – Han Solo. Indiana Jones. The guy from The Fugitive – is making his MCU debut in Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World and his co-star, Anthony Mackie, has very specific memories from working with one of the most successful actors in history.
During an interview leading up to his debut as the new Captain America in the MCU, Anthony Mackie was asked what Harrison Ford was like on set. “Harrison was pretty cool because he would come to set and every time we would do a scene, he would say, ‘Let’s shoot this piece of shit.’ And it’s like, ‘Yay, Harrison!’ right? He was just a funny old dude, right?”
However crotchety Ford might seem when he’s promoting movies, he seems like he is fun while he’s on set. According to Mackie, “He would always invite random people out for drinks after work. Like ‘Hey, let’s go have a drink and shoot the shit.’ So that was Harrison Ford. We had a lot of fun. He was dope.”
We like to think that Ford’s comments came from simply having fun with his co-stars, lightening the mood on what was probably a very busy and very stressful set. The actors’ strike was looming and the MCU’s box office was at a surprisingly low point, which meant that there was more pressure than usual to deliver. Plus, who wouldn’t inspired by Indiana Jones telling them to shoot the “piece of shit?”
