Watch Namor fly into the new Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer
It's Wakanda versus the undersea kingdom of Talocan in the new trailer for next month's movie
The underseas invasion is beginning to take shape. Marvel Studios has released the first posters and a new trailer for next month’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, giving fans a better look at Tenoch Huerta’s Namor — including his little ankle wings in action for perhaps the first time ever.
Set in the wake of King T’Challa’s death, the movie sees Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett) struggle to bring Wakanda together as it prepares to deal with a new kind of threat — one from a kingdom under the sea called Talokan. (Nope, not Atlantis; surprise!) What will keep Wakanda safe? Better ask Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the rest of the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba) — as well as War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o), Everett Ross (Martin Freeman), and Dominique Thorne, making her MCU debut as Riri Williams, seen briefly taking flight in the trailer itself.
While we’re talking about brief glimpses of important figures in the trailer, check out Mabel Cadena as Namora, and Alex Livanalli as Attuma, both of whom are likely to play big roles as events unfold.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is directed by Ryan Coogler, who co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole. Nate Moore and Kevin Feige produce. Check out the trailer here.
In addition to the primary poster, Marvel also released the IMAX key art for the movie, both of which you can see below. Tickets for the movie, which opens November 11, are available for pre-order now.
The San Diego Comic-Con debut of the teaser for the movie was accompanied by an amazing musical performance by vocalist Baaba Maal and tama drummer Massamba Diop.
