Marvel Studios has found its Galactus - and boy, does he have the voice for it

Marvel Studios is close to finally cast its biggest role to date: the world-eating character known as Galactus.
Yorkshire actor Ralph Ineson is in talks to play the towering eater of worlds Galactus for the 2025 Fantastic Four, according to The Hollywood Reporter. According to that trade, the deal has not been made yet, but it does report that world-eating cosmic entity Galactus is penciled in to be the main villain of the movie.
This wouldn't be Galactus' first shot at the big screen - he appeared as... well, as a giant cosmic cloud in 2007's Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer, so the MCU version will have a relatively low bar to clear to be an improvement.
Ineson is best known to many for his roles in the Robert Eggers films The Northman and The Witch, and is involved in the upcoming Nosferatu reboot as well. For genre fans, he has been in the Harry Potter franchise (as Amycus Carrow) and Star Wars (as a general)... and in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it role, Ineson played an unnamed Ravager pilot in the 2014 MCU film Guardians of the Galaxy. But, no, we don't think that's a plot point of Galactus... although...
One real surprise is that this potential casting comes just five months after the actor sued Marvel Studios' parent company Disney over allegd injuries suffered during his filming of the Disney+ series Willow. The current status of that case isn't clear.
Fantastic Four is scheduled to begin shooting this summer for a hopeful July 25, 2025 release date.
