Greta Gerwig's Barbie rocketing to success (and rocketing Warner Bros to success) last year was always going to usher in a whole new slate of toy adaptation movies. We've heard about the Polly Pocket movie - now, it's time for Monopoly.
You heard that right. Lionsgate is working on a new Monopoly movie with Margot Robbie and her production company LuckyChap Entertainment. This project was announced by Chair of Lionsgate, Adam Fogelson, at Lionsgate's CinemaCon presentation this year.
While there aren't any details about the project yet (or whether or not Robbie herself will star in the film), there's certainly a world full of possibilities involved. After all, there's many ways to play a game.
More on Monopoly (and other news from CinemaCon) to come.
