James Gunn promises a “magical” second season for DC's Peacemaker

If you’ve been eagerly awaiting Peacemaker season 2, DC Studios co-president James Gunn has some great news for you. Speaking to a crowd at New York City Comic Con, Gunn gave fans an update on the second season. “We’re shooting it now. I shot until late last night, and then came in today for this. I have to go back and shoot on Monday.”
“The new series has been going exceptionally well. Somewhere in the audience we have Greg Motolla, great director of Superbad and other fine films, who directed two of the best Peacemaker episodes ever, in episodes two and three of season two. It’s going exceptionally well. John Cena has improved as an actor in a way that I – honest to god, I have never seen anyone who has gotten so much better in such a short amount of time,” Gunn continued.
“The rest of the cast is all there, the 11th Street Kids as they’re called. We’re having a great time shooting that, and it’s a very different season of Peacemaker. Very magical.”
Peacemaker season 2 will premiere on Max in 2025.
