The Penguin’s Rhenzy Feliz on working with Colin Farrell: “I know Oz better than I know Colin.”
Rhenzy Feliz talks at New York Comic Con about his breakout role as Victor on The Penguin

One of the most astonishing aspects of HBO's The Penguin series is the transformation of Colin Farrell into the character of Oz Cobb. Between the make-up, the full bodysuit, and the unique-corner-of-New-York accent that Farrell brings to the role, the Irish actor is absolutely unrecognizable... even to those working alongside him.
At the Penguin press round-up during New York Comic Con, Rhenzy Feliz, who frequently shares the screen with Farrell as his Robin-like assistant Victor Aguilar, was asked what the experience was like working on set with someone who appeared to be a completely different person from his co-star.
“I know Oz better than I know Colin, to be honest,” Feliz said. “I spend more time around Oz and Colin being Oz than Colin looking like Colin and being Colin.”
For Feliz, getting to actually see episodes of the show in full created a very weird kind of nostalgia. “I remember watching it and thinking Oh, that’s my guy!,” he says, referring to Oz. “It’s like you missed the guy you worked with, you worked with him for months and months and months but then you don’t get to see him again until you watch the show.”
“It’s a very unique experience,” Feliz admits, “but it’s awesome.” Asked whether he’d rather have a drink with Oz or Farrell, Feliz imagined calling Farrell: “Hey, I know it’s annoying, but would you mind putting on the makeup?”
The first season of the Penguin airs Sundays on HBO and steaming on Max.
