Gather all ye gamers in Boston. Whether you prefer video games or tabletop games, PAX East is here to cater to you. With giants like Nintendo, Gearbox, and Wizards of the Coast set to appear at PAX East, plus the return of Acquisitions Incorporated to the main stage and countless indie developers to check out, there is more gaming coming to Boston than you could possibly see in just four days.

What is Omegathon at PAX East?

As you walk around PAX East, it is impossible to miss the buzz around the annual Omegathon. 16 teams face off in a series of battles, with the winner being crowned at the Closing Ceremony of PAX East. The teams compete in a variety of games across the weekend, racking up points as they steadily march toward glory.

Who are these brave competitors? Each one is randomly selected from badge holders who opt in for a chance to compete when they purchase their badges. You can watch the 2025 PAX East Omegathon finale here and find out more about this year’s competition at the same time.

Where is PAX East 2026?

PAX East 2026 takes place from March 26-29 at Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
