In a rush? Here are the five busiest areas of New York Comic Con that might slow you down
Turns out people like to stop and take pictures of giant anime characters. Who knew?

Remember the three Cs of Comic Con – Celebrations, Cosplay, and Crowds. While we love the first two, no one likes getting caught in the swarm of people trying to navigate the show floor. If you’re walking around New York Comic Con this weekend, there are a couple of chokepoints that you will want to avoid. Here are the five busiest stalls and areas of New York Comic Con 2024 that you’ll want to take the long way around.
Dragon Ball Daima Booth #2601
It is tough to miss the giant Goku inflatable looming over the show floor – it is easily one of the coolest sights at New York Comic Con 2024. However, that spectacle comes at a cost; there have been long lines at the Dragon Ball Daima booth all weekend. They tend to be worse as soon as the show opens as fans fight for the bags of merch that they’re giving away, but we haven’t seen the wait be less than half an hour all weekend.
Toei Animation Booth #2635
It isn’t just the giant Gear 2 Luffy that Toei has brought with them that is attracting crowds to their booth. They’ve done a great job of recreating the look and feel of the Egghead Island Arc for fans to step into. With One Piece still one of the biggest anime series even after 25 years, it isn’t surprising that they’ve managed to capture the attention of everyone at NYCC.
Marvel Booth #2153
Marvel is always a big hit at New York Comic Con, but this year they’ve got some really cool stuff to see at their booth. There are costumes from both Agatha All Along and Daredevil: Born Again to feast your eyes on plus previews of upcoming issues of comics. We’re not surprised that the line for Marvel was already causing a foot traffic jam before the show officially opened on Saturday.
Pathway Between Booths #3745 and #3753
Comics is what brings us to New York this weekend, but sometimes we can spend a bit too much time trying to find just the perfect issue. There are two comic book sellers in close proximity in row 3700 on the show floor, which has caused a bottleneck throughout the weekend. It has occasionally eased at times, only to return shortly after as more fans dig through boxes of back issues once again. We’d say avoid the area if you’re in a hurry, but the allure of comics is too strong.
The Gundam Base Booth #2335
There are two kinds of people in this world – those who are obsessed with Gunpla and those who still have money in their accounts. Gundam fans are known for their intense love of models from the series, so we weren’t surprised to see the line for The Gundam Base wrap around their stall and threaten to interfere with the stalls around them. It didn’t cause any problems with foot traffic through the convention thanks to a wide aisle on either side, but you can still expect a long wait to pick up your next kit.
