NYCC 2026: Guests, dates, ticket pre-sale info and everything you need to know about October's hottest pop culture event
With the first wave of NYCC 2026 guests announced, here's everything you need to know about the year's biggest pop culture event ahead of its October debut at the Javits Center.

If you're a 'spooky season is forever' kid like me, you're probably already preparing for Halloween, especially with the halfway-to-Halloween marker already come and gone. But here's the thing - there's another ostentatious October occasion that you might want to start prepping for, with just as many costumed weirdos joining the same endeavor. That endeavor is New York Comic Con 2026 (or NYCC 2026 if you're a vet!), and Popverse is here to answer a couple of FAQs surrounding the event to make sure you're as prepared as you can be.

What are the dates for NYCC 2026?
New York Comic Con 2026 will take place October 8-11 at the Javits Center in New York, NY. You might remember Popverse reporting on these dates all the way back in October of 2025, as NYCC '25 was underway. So, like we said at the top - never too early to start thinking ahead.
And while not announced, I personally presume we'll have another Retailer Day for professionals on Wednesday, October 7. (And not just because it's my boss's birthday!)
NYCC 2026 for Popverse Superfans
If you've been here for very long, you already know that the best way to experience a whole host of North American conventions, NYCC included, is via a Popverse Superfan membership, which guarantees con-goers certain privileges. This year, for example, Superfans were able to buy tickets to NYCC (limited to 2 per ticket type) before anyone else. Now with tickets on sale, the next big perks are premium access to celebrity photo-ops and autographs, making it more likely you'll get to chat with that celebrity A-lister everyone's showing up for.
What guests are coming to NYCC 2026?
The first wave of guests has just been announced for this year's New York Comic Con, and whether you're looking for film and TV celebrities, comic book icons, giants from the literary field, or your favorite voice actors, you're sure to find a whole host of people you can't quite believe made it to the show. How do Ian McDiarmid and Hayden Christensen sound? What about the casts of Smallville, Superman & Lois, Brooklyn 99, Scream, Jurassic Park, or the Uncharted video game? Maybe you'd rather check out Frank Miller, Jim Lee, James Tynion IV, Scott Snyder, and Nick Dragotta from Absolute Batman, Amazing Spider-Man's Pepe Larraz and more, and that's more than okay, because they'll all be there. When do NYCC 2026 tickets go on sale?
As of writing, the two presale periods have passed for NYCC tickets:
- June 3 at 12pm ET through June 4 12pm ET: Popverse NYCC Superfan exclusive presale (Must join by May 27)
- June 14 at 10am ET through June 15 at 12pm ET: Presale for those with active Fan Verification profiles
ANd tickets are now on-sale for anyone and everyone... that is, until each day starts selling out. NYCC Saturday has already sold out!
How much is an NYCC 2026 ticket?
With four days (and four nights) of entertainment across the 3.3 million-plus square feet of New York City's Javits Center, there's a lot to take in. Add to it that it's the biggest comic convention in North America, and demand is such that it regularly sells out on certain days, and a NYCC 2026 ticket is a prized commodity.
This year, ticket prices are as follows
- One-Day tickets starting at $93.09 (including all fees and sales tax), and going up to $190.42 for our busiest day, Saturday.
- On NYCC Sunday, there's special kids programming, so we have a Sunday NYCC Kids ticket for $49.54 (with the purchase of an adult ticket). New this year by popular demand, there is a Thursday NYCC Kids ticket for only $33.21.
- If you want to come for all four days of NYCC 2026, that'll be be $321.17; that's a $75+ savings over buying individual days
- If you want to give the gift of NYCC to someone (or for yourself) to de-stress your weekend and give you time to get to all the things at the con, the VIP ticket is $990.75... and trust me, they sell out quick. In addition to convenience, it includes a $30 voucher for Epic Photo ops, an extra Thursday badge for a friend, 20% off the NYCC Merch Store, access to a private lounge with refreshments, a free coat & bag check, and exclusive pricing at select hotels. How crowded is NYCC 2026?
Even if you've never been to the premier pop culture event in one of the largest cities in the world, you can probably guess that NYCC is a crowded event, and we don't expect the '26 edition to be any different. If you're looking for exact numbers, though, check Business Mirror's 2025 NYCC numbers, which put attendees at a staggering 250,000+ count over four days.
Where is NYCC 2026 held?
As mentioned before, New York Comic Con 2026 will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Center, or simply the Javits Center, as the con has been held every year since its founding. Popverse has been to the Javits more times than you might believe, and is always available in case you need a guide to places to eat either in the convention center or perhaps just around it.
What's bigger, NYCC or SDCC?
Neither San Diego Comic Con 2026 or New York Comic Con 2026 has happened yet, so it's impossible to say with certainty which of the shows will be larger, attendance-wise. That said, according to San Diego's local FOX 5 station, the count from SDCC '25 rounded out to about 135,000 floor-walkers. So if the trend repeats itself this year, the Big Apple convention might just take home the title of biggest con again.
