Millie Bobby Brown’s career has taken her to some interesting places so far. The young actress has faced down Godzilla, battled strange creatures from the Upside Down, and sang alongside Mariah Carey.
However, one of the most defining moments of her career was a visit to the Avengers: Infinity War set. Speaking at New York City Comic Con 2024’s The Electric State spotlight panel, Brown recalled the tremendous impact the set visit had on her.
“I had the privilege of going to set on Avengers to watch the Russos direct when I was 13. I was filming Stranger Things and they invited me. I remember watching them direct and thinking, ‘I want to be an actor and work with them. That’s so cool.’ I made that my goal.”
That dream is now coming true. Millie Bobby Brown plays Michelle in The Electric State, an upcoming science fiction adventure film directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. Based on a 2018 graphic novel, the film depicts a dystopian version of the 1990s where robots had taken over.
“My dad came to me and said, ‘I’ve read a script, I think you should do it. This is one of the best scripts I’ve ever read.’ I trusted his gut, read it, and immediately fell in love with Michelle. The fact that the Russos were involved just made me so excited. I finally reached my dream of being able to work with them,” Brown said.
The Electric State will premiere on Netflix on March 14, 2025.
