We have the 2027 C2E2 dates, and the show is moving! (Timewise, at least)

Here’s the good news: C2E2 2026 is just about to begin, bringing three days of pop culture bedazzlement to the Windy City, all centered around McCormick Place from March 27 through March 29. But there’s also some bad news: fans who love the show will have to wait more than a year for the next one. Yes, we’ve got the C2E2 2027 dates, and the show’s shifting on the calendar for next year.

The dates for C2E2 2027 are April 30 through May 2. This is technically a shift back to the show’s late April slot, which it previously traditionally occupied up through 2025 — when it moved to mid-April, and then to late March this year. Regardless of time slot, the show will continue to take place at McCormick Place in Chicago, and will also continue to bring top-tier guests to the Second City to delight and amaze fans just as Spring starts to sprung.

Where is C2E2?

As the first of the two Cs identifies, Chicago, Illinois, is the home of C2E2 every single year. It has taken place in McCormick Place since its inception in 2010.

How big is C2E2?

2025’s C2E2 was a record breaker in terms of crowd size, with 100,000 attendees across its three-day run. It had gotten close six years earlier, before COVID took its toll on in-person events, but 2025 sealed the deal: it’s a massive show.

Why is it called C2E2?

Although the name may sound like a complex mathematical formula, C2E2 is a pretty simple, if stylized, acronym: the show’s original name was the Chicago Comics & Entertainment Expo, which could be shortened as CCEE… or two Cs, two Es. Hence, C2E2. See? As easy as pi.
