So many convention attendees dream of being on the other side of the panel, of crossing the barrier between fan lining up and who fans line up for. Recently, Glee star Darren Criss came to Chicago's C2E2 '24 with a message for those dreamers - that the barrier was crossable, and that he was living proof.

Speaking with Popverse seniorv ideo producer Veronica Valencia, Criss began by (lovingly) calling out other celebrities. "I'll have you know," Criss said, "A lot of people who come up here to do these things - especially actors, who I love - usually the first time they ever go to a convention is when they're on this side."

"I want you all to know," he said to massive applause, "that I grew up going to conventions."

"You name it," Criss continued, "Star Wars conventions, comic conventions - if it was in the Bay Area, I went to it at some point. So I very much appreciate and see and know the excitement of of a room like this. And it's my genuine pleasure to be here as a result."
