Aquaman swims back into DC All In in 2025, in a new series from Green Lantern writer

Jeremy Adams gets his feet wet with a new ongoing Aquaman comic book in January 2025 with artist John Timms

He hasn’t headlined his own ongoing comic book series since 2020 — even though he’s had a movie in that time — but, starting in January 2025, Aquaman is headed back into the spotlight as part of DC All In.

The announcement of the first new ongoing Aquaman comic book series since the end of the Kelly Sue DeConnick-written run in November, 2020 came during DC’s Absolute/All In Universes panel at New York Comic Con 2024. The series will be written by Green Lantern scribe Jeremy Adams, with art by John Timms; the title will launch January 8, 2025.

Although Aquaman hasn’t been given the headline treatment in recent years — in the mainstream DCU, that is; he did get a non-canonical horror miniseries, Aquaman: Andromeda by Ram V and Christian Ward, in 2023 — he hasn’t been entirely absent from DC’s primary comic book line in all that time; he makes appearances in the recent Absolute Power miniseries, quietly re-establishing him as an ongoing presence before his new series launches.

That wasn’t Adams’s only announcement at the panel. He also revealed that January 8 will also see the release of Green Lantern: Fractured Spectrum, a one-shot tying into his ongoing GL run with art from V. Ken Marion. That one-shot follows this month’s Green Lantern Civil Corps Special, as Adams rebuilds the cosmic side of the DCU as part of the All In era.
