Having already shaken up the fantasy scene with her Poppy War trilogy, R.F. Kuang became one of its leading beacons with her novel of dark academia, Babel. At just 29, Kuang continues to stand out in the genre, with last year's Katabasis earning her incredible reviews and an enviable amount of copies sold. At BookCon 2026, Kuang addressed a teaming room of fans to discuss her successes, inspirations, and future.
