Watch The Language of Love with Jasmine Guillory, Casey McQuiston, & Tia Williams from BookCon 2026!

Authors Guillory (The Wedding Date), McQuiston (Red, White, and Royal Blue), and Williams (A Love Song for Ricki Wilde) dissected what makes the romance genre work at BookCon '26, and Popverse was there to learn (and film)

Love was in the air at BookCon 2026 - and in the merch bags, to-read piles, and panel rooms of the attendees. There were romance novels at just about every turn at the Javits Center during the convention, but maybe the best place to be if you were a fan was the Language of Love panel, with guests Jasmine Guillory, Casey McQuiston, and Tia Williams.

The authors of The Wedding Date; Red, White, and Royal Blue; and A Love Song for Ricki Wilde (respectively) spoke for an unmissable hour about the craft and construction of the romance genre, and Popverse was there to film the whole thing. So if you don't miss it, don't worry - if those authors' jobs are to break your heart, we're here to fix it, one panel video at a time.

This is one of the many Bookcon 2026 panels Popverse filmed at New York City's Javits on the Hudson. Consult our Bookcon 2026 panel hub for a list of all of the panels we have available, and what's left to be released.
