Watch The Alchemy of YA and New Adult Fantasy with Amélie Wen Zhao, Analeigh Sbrana, Jordan Ifueko, Tracy Deonn, & Claribel A. Ortega from BookCon 2026!

Popverse was there to record series authors Zhao (Blood Heir), Sbrana (Lore of the Wilds), Ifueko (Raybearer), Deonn (Legendborn), and Ortega (Witchlings) as they spoke about their history with and the future of YA Lit

Sorry YA fans - we'll probably never get a crossover of the Blood Heir, Lore of the Wilds, Raybearer, Deonn, Legendborn, and Witchlings series. But at BookCon 2026, lucky attendees to the Alchemy of YA and New Adult Fantasy got something close - one hour of fan Q&A talkback with the authors of each series.

That's right - Amélie Wen Zhao, Analeigh Sbrana, Jordan Ifueko, Tracy Deonn, and Claribel A. Ortega were not only at the world's premiere literary convention, they teamed up to tell rabid fans all about what works in the YA literature industry. Not to toot our own horns, but we were there too - and you'll love this bit - to film the entire discussion.

This is one of the many Bookcon 2026 panels Popverse filmed at New York City's Javits on the Hudson. Consult our Bookcon 2026 panel hub for a list of all of the panels we have available, and what's left to be released.
