The most hated skin of Insomniac's Spider-Man 2 won't be coming back, according to Miles Morales voice actor Nadji Jeter
At Fan Expo, one Spider-Man redditor caught up with Jeter to talk about the widely-criticized (and corporate-sponsored) 'Evolved' suit, and the Miles voice actor shares many fans' concerns

Insomniac's Spider-Man games are well known for their unique (and often gorgeous) character skins. You can play while looking like Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker, for example, or don Miles Morales's Into the Spider-Verse gear. However, there is one skin that, ever since its release, fans have widely despised - that being the Adidas-sponsored 'Evolved' suit that appeared in Spider-Man 2. And according to one Redditor, fans aren't the only ones who don't care for the look; Nadji Jeter, the voice of Miles Morales in the games, also doesn't like it.
Fortunately for him, though (and us!) it seems that, come the sequel, the Evolved suit will be a thing of the past.
The redditor in question is u/JaMoraht, who posted a report of a conversation they had with Jeter at the recent Fan Expo.
"[Jeter] doesn’t like the suit either," writes JaMoraht, "And kind of blames [A]didas for it happening."
Moreover, Jeter was reportedly confused as to why the suit displayed Miles's hair, with the redditor posting that "he thinks since he was growing his hair the studio thought they should show it," but that Jeter also "thinks ruins the whole secret identity thing."
"He also NEVER had that hairstyle when he was growing his hair," continues the post, "So he doesn’t understand why they did the Killmonger cut [Author's note - that is, Eric Killmonger, famously played by Michael B. Jordan in Marvel's Black Panther]. He couldn’t even give feedback because he only saw it by the time the guy was going to be released."
There's an upside to all of this for fans who didn't care for the outfit, reports JaMoraht. "When I asked what’s going to happen in future games," the post concludes, "[Jeter] said he was pretty sure they were going back to the original suit (thank god)."
Of course, we are talking about a Reddit post here, and in no way should this conversation be taken as gospel. Especially since, as Jeter reportedly claimed, the voice actor was slightly in the dark about the suit's debut. Still, the fact that the look received such poor feedback points to the possibility that what Jeter thinks is true, and for fans of the game series, that's at least enough to build some hope for better outfits down the line.
