The Pokémon Company has announced that the Scarlet & Violet -Destined Rivals booster set will launch later this spring

Popverse's top stories of the day

Hold on to your butts (and perhaps wallets), Pokémon trainers: there's a new Pokémon TCG set on the horizon. The Pokémon Company has announced that this spring, a new expansion pack called Scarlet & Violet - Destined Rivals will be launching wherever games are sold on May 30, 2025.
Scarlet & Violet - Destined Rivals will be composed of over 240 cards, with 83 Team Rocket cards. It will include heroic pairs such as Ethan and Ho-Oh ex, Cynthia and Garchomp ex, and Arven and Mabosstiff ex. Speaking of ex, there will be more than 15 Pokémon ex cards in the set, in addition to 20 Trainer cards, and over 85 Trainer's Pokemon. For those of you wondering, yes, Scarlet & Violet - Destined Rivals will be standard deck legal.
Destined Rivals comes off the heels of March's Scarlet & Violet: Journey Together - which will be out in 4 days. Ah, the conundrum of being a TCG collector: one set gets announced before the next one even comes out.
In case you need a refresher, in January and February this year, The Pokémon Company released the Scarlet & Violet - Prismatic Evolutions booster set and the Scarlet & Violet: Blooming Waters Premium Collection. Happy hunting!
