After two Universes Beyond sets, it's time for Universes Within to take us back to the Magic: The Gathering multiverse, with the release of the new Lorwyn Eclipsed set. Out later this month, Lorwyn Eclipsed is a return to the setting of Lorwyn, but the setting itself isn't the only thing making a comeback for this set. If you have a lot of love for the original Lorwyn set, you'll be pleased to know that Lorwyn Eclipsed will feature many cards with art by artists who were part of the first Lorwyn set. And one of these artists is Rebecca Guay, who made the art for the headliner card of Lorwyn Eclipsed, a borderless variant of Bitterbloom Bearer that is limited to only 500 copies. 

Details of Rebecca Guay's version of Bitterbloom Bearer were unveiled in Lorwyn Eclipsed's preview video, which hit YouTube this morning. The serialized, borderless headliner card drawn by Guay will be found in Collector Boosters. Each copy of the card will have a number out of 500 printed on it. In the video, the card was described as "the perfect celebration of the classic style that Lorwyn Eclipsed embraces," which we can certainly agree with. Check it out below. 

This version of Bitterbloom Bearer marks Rebecca Guay's return to the Magic multiverse after three years. Guay has worked with Wizards of the Coast as an illustrator for decades, going back to 1996. Guay's beautiful fantasy artwork has always felt at home within the world of Magic, and the whimsy at the core of Lorwyn's setting is a perfect match for Guay's art. 

Lorwyn Eclipsed's prerelease will begin January 16, with the full set launching January 23, 2026.
