Think Hollow Knight: Silksong is too hard? The developers agree, so they're making it (slightly) easier in the first patch next week

If you’ve been one of the many people who have picked up Hollow Knight: Silksong in the days following its release, you’ve probably been struck by a few things. One, it is just as gorgeous and engaging as the original Hollow Knight. Two, it is really, really hard, guys. Like, painfully so. Well, Team Cherry is here to help, with the first patch notes for Silksong confirmed to make the early game slightly easier.
Along with fixing a handful of bugs that stopped abilities from working as intended, two early-game bosses will have a slight difficulty reduction. Those bosses are the Moorwing and Sister Splinter. In addition to making these boss fights easier, Sandcarvers will deal less damage going forward to help players get their head around the mechanics of the game before they throw the really tough stuff at them.
In addition to these changes to the difficulty of enemies, Bellway and Bell Bench prices will be slightly reduced in mid-game, and rosary rewards from relics and psalm cylinders will get an increase across the board. The full patch notes can be found here.
PC players can access the first Hollow Knight: Silksong patch now as part of the public beta, with the final version of the patch expected to come out in the middle of next week for PC and console players. Until then, fans will just need to battle their way through the more difficult version of these enemies. Surely the bragging rights for beating Moorwing before it got nerfed are worth the stress, right?
