Fortnite is a game that lives and dies by how much you care about its many, many crossovers and collaborations. The latest announced collaboration in Fortnite is another iconic anime – this time, Bleach is joining the battle royale game. A teaser trailer for the Fortnite x Bleach event has been posted, and we’re trying to uncover as many facts from it as we can. Unfortunately, there aren't many to share.

Thus far, the trailer is only about 15 seconds of swords embedded in the ground as the camera zooms past them all. It then stops on the image of Ichigo Kurosaki’s iconic sword as two butterflies (referred to in Bleach as Hell Butterflies) touch at the top and reality fractures all around. It is all very dramatic but it doesn’t tell us much about the collaboration that is coming. If it weren’t for the fact that Ichigo’s sword is so instantly recognizable, we might not even realize a Bleach crossover is coming to Fortnite at all.

A date shows up at the end, but it is most likely going to be when actual details about the collaboration between Fortnite and Bleach are going to be announced, rather than when the crossover will start. However, the fact that Epic Games is putting so much effort into promoting this event tells us that it will be more than just a few skins and some dances. We expect this to be a full-blown season for the game.

We’ll have to wait to find out more about the Fortnite x Bleach crossover event until December 20, 2025.
