Popverse's Ashley Victoria Robinson unboxes a booster pack from the latest Magic: The Gathering set, Duskmourn: House of Horror
Popverse's top stories of the day
- Dune: Prophecy creators promise to bring the "complexity" and "grand scale" of Frank Herbert's books and Denis Villeneuve's movies to TV
- Marvel's TV head says there's "absolutely" a future for Jon Bernthal's Punisher after his Daredevil: Born Again appearance

The experience of opening a Magic: The Gathering booster pack is transcendent. What's there not to love about the smell of new cards and the crinkle of the plastic wrap? With the new MTG set, Duskmourn: House of Horror out now, Popverse has you covered if you haven't had the chance to get your hands on a booster pack yet. Follow along as we get our first look at the cards from Duskmourn: House of Horror.
In this video, you can watch Popverse's resident loot goblin, Ashley Victoria Robinson, open a new Duskmourn: House of Horror booster pack. Ashley was recently at MagicCon: Las Vegas, where she was able to get a Duskmourn booster pack. In the video, you can get a look at the new Room enchantment type that is specific to Duskmourn: House of Horror. Other new additions from Duskmourn include new ability words like Survival and Eerie, which will absolutely shake up how the game is played.
As the name of the set suggests, Duskmourn: House of Horror is a horror-themed MTG set featuring creatures like vampires, nightmares, warlocks, and all that fun stuff. This is far from the first time Magic has delved into the world of horror. The Innistrad: Crimson Vow and Innistrad: Midnight Hunt sets from 2021 come to mind. Magic's spooky sets are perfect for Halloween season, but if you ask us, we'd be happy to see them any time of the year. Long live Duskmourn: House of Horror.
