Christmas has come early for fans of third-person shooter Marvel Rivals with the launch of an all-new comic book series based on the game (before you ask: yes, the comic includes Jeff the Land Shark), available exclusively on digital subscription service Marvel Unlimited.
Written by Paul Allor and drawn by Luca Claretti, the six-part series Marvel Rivals Infinity Comic dropped its first episode Sunday night, with new installments releasing weekly. The series will feature characters including Venom, Spider-Man, Peni Parker, and Galacta, the daughter of Galactus as they clash on the streets of Tokyo 2099 over how best to deal with the threat to the web of life and destiny. (What’s that? That sounds like a MacGuffin to get everyone fighting as quickly as possible? Well, it is just a six-issue series…!)
That’s not all, however — subscribers to Marvel Unlimited won’t just be able to read the series when new episodes drop, they will also be able to redeem a code for a special Jeff the Land Shark Unlimited Appetite spray, available January 3. To qualify, subscribers will need to have signed up for Marvel Unlimited by December 25; any subscriptions starting after that date will not be eligible, per Marvel. You’ve got nine days, so what’s stopping you…? (There’s even a holiday sale to make it even easier.)
More details on Marvel Unlimited — which gives access to 30,000 issues, including multiple exclusive releases including series featuring the Avengers, Spider-Man, and the X-Men — can be found right here.
