Children's television in the '90s was booming! From shows like Arthur, to The Magic School Bus, there was no shortage of content for younger viewers. Among those shows, Steve Burns found his home on the Nick Jr. show Blue's Clues, which he starred in from 1995 to 2002. During his period on the show, the former host recalls a time he recieved a call from Big Bird inviting him down to the iconic Sesame Street. Naturally, the only answer when recieving a call from one of the most famous muppets inviting you on to the set of a show that had been running for decades was, "yeahhhhhhhhh!"

During a discussion at Seattle's Emerald City Comic Con, Burns entertains the audience with a story, describing his excitement when Caroll Spinney, who played Big Bird, called him and invited him to come on down to Sesame street. Burns recalls spending the day on the set where he had a comical encounter with another familiar, adorable red little muppet.

"And when I got there, Elmo was filming something, right?" Burns began. "Elmo just stares at me and goes, 'Are you Steve from Blue's Clues? You look taller on TV."

You can watch Steve explain the full encounter from ECCC 2022 below:
