The Joker's wild (because his vacation is ruined) in this exclusive preview
Los Angeles isn't being very nice to the Clown Prince of Crime in this preview of March's issue
If common wisdom is to be believed, a change is as good as a rest — which might explain why the Joker, who’s not been in the best of ways so far in his solo series The Joker: The Man Who Stopped Laughing, has decided to ditch Gotham City for awhile… but, as Popverse’s exclusive preview of March’s #6 reveals, Los Angeles isn’t going to treat him any more kindly.
So far in the new series, the Joker has had to contend with the news that he’s dying… as well as dodging a potentially even-quicker death at the hands of Jason Todd, who’s been doggedly on his heels after that whole “killing Robin with a crowbar” incident that some fans might remember from back in the 1980s. But if he thought that heading to sunnier climes might bring about a change in his fortunes, he’s about to be very, very disappointed indeed.
Less likely to be disappointed are fans of Marc Andreyko’s beloved character Kate Spencer, who shows up in this new story arc in her costumed guise as Manhunter… and guess who she’s hunting?
DC’s advance description of the issue reads, “For the first time in the character’s 80-plus year history, The Joker does his thing amidst the glitz and glamour of L.A. In this two-issue arc, the Clown Prince of Crime takes his act to L.A. where he gets to experience everything the city has to offer, including picture taking on Hollywood Blvd. Griffith Park, getting to L.A.X. (“The bad one,” according to him), and an unexpected encounter with Kate Spencer, a.k.a. Manhunter.”
The issue is written by Matthew Rosenberg, with art by Carmine Di Giandomenico.

The Joker: The Man Who Stopped Laughing #6 will be released March 7. Come for the sun, stay for the sin.
Elsewhere at DC, the Joker is in the middle of — gasp — a team-up with the Dark Knight Detective? Leave it to Marc Silvestri to explain the secrets behind Batman/Joker: The Deadly Duo.
