Dave Bautista is one of the most fun action stars out there right now, and his upcoming assassin picture The Killer's Game seems to be a sure hit for him.
The movie, which will debut some time in 2024, stars Dave Bautista as an assassin who, after getting a terminal diagnosis, takes out a hit on himself. But here's the twist: the terminal diagnosis was wrong, and now he's not slated to die - except for the fact that a ton of the world's best assassins (including some with a grudge) are coming after him. (Oops.)
At Lionsgate's CinemaCon presentation, an early trailer was shown to the audience, showcasing Dave Bautista as assassin falling in love with Sofia Boutella's character (one of the few in the movie who is not an assassin), and stroking a long-held grudge with an assassin played by Bautista's Guardian's co-star Pom Klementieff.
Oh, and Terry Crews plays an assassin too, in case you weren't already bought into this movie. (And if you hadn't: what's wrong with you? Bautista and Klementieff are comedic gold together, as anyone who's watched the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special know all too well.) Overall, the footage that was shown at CinemaCon promises a real fun time for lovers of action and really brutal-looking fights.
Though The Killing Game doesn't have an official release date yet, the movie will be hitting theaters at some point in 2024.
