AEW wrestlers reveal which DC heroes they’re paired with in new AEW/DC mini

AEW came to NYCC and brought news about the new AEW/DC miniseries

Having recently announced a 2-part comic miniseries which will see the real-life heroes of the AEW universe fighting alongside DC’s superheroes, AEW wrestlers and DC writer Steve Orlando revealed more specifics at NYCC 2025 - namely, which wrestler is teaming with each hero in the series. Ready to update your scorecards?

Swerve Strickland will be paired with John Stewart, news that got the crowd immediately chanting, “Whose Ring? Whose House?”

Jon Moxley is being paired with Guy Gardner, a choice that seemed to delight the audience, though Moxley himself didn’t seem to know who Gardner is.

Willow Nightingale will be partnered with Wonder Woman, a fact she really loved. “I think it’s really cool,” she told the gathered crowd. “I would team up with her.” Moxley added, “I would team up with Wonder Woman, too, because she has the Lasso of Truth. And in wrestling there are so many people who are so full of shit.”

The last announced pairing was Orange Cassidy with Harley Quinn.  As the room cheered, he stood up and thanked them.

Orlando said matching characters from the two universes was a lot of fun. “When the characters are so well-defined, honestly, it’s easy.”

The AEW/DC 2-part event drops in 2026, with more news expected in coming months.
