You've seen the debate - maybe you've even taken part of it in person or online: comics artists vs. comic writers. If one side is responsible for the bulk of the credit and acclaim, who is it? While the debate has become somewhat silly, Popverse can also be silly - so we're focusing on this debate as the next topic in our live event series Popversus: the Pop Culture Fight Club.
Sunday Sunday Sunday at Chicago's C2E2 2025, comics artist Mitch Gerads and comics writer Tom King will take sides and verbally spar in a rousing debate moderated by Popverse's own Ashley V. Robinson. The two opponents are longtime friends and collaborators, but Sunday at 12:30 pm in C2E2 2025's Room S403-AB they will be debating their point - with perhaps even a surprise run-in or two like pro wrestling.
Ashley V. Robinson will play the host & judge, with you the fans becoming the jury to decide who wins.
Come see Popversus: Writers vs. Artists with Tom King and Mitch Gerards Sunday, April 13 in Room S403-AB of Chicago's C2E2 at 12:30 PM Chicago time.
