The denizens of the Marvel Universe may have forgotten about Thor and the rest of the Asgardians, but that doesn't mean that Thor's past enemies have suddenly disappeared. In the pages of Al Ewing and Pasqual Ferry's The Mortal Thor series, Thor has been 'reborn' as a Norwegian immigrant living in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, named Sigurd Jarlson, who makes his living working in construction. Though Sigurd has no memory of who he is, that hasn't stopped him from standing up for what's right, leading him to battle everyone from white supremacists to corporations.
And now, Sigurd is on a crash course to duking it out with the Roxxon Energy Corporation, after they sent the Radioactive Man to kill him back in The Mortal Thor #9. Little does our friend Siggy know that Roxxon's CEO is a man named Dario Agger, also known as the Minotaur. And the Minotaur is not one to be pushed around by a blue-collar worker like Sigurd Jarlson.
We've got a first look at The Mortal Thor #11, showing the opening salvo of Thor and the Minotaur's fight, featuring art by Juann Cabal.

"HORNS OF THE MINOTAUR! Dario Agger doesn't remember the Gods of Asgard," reads Marvel's description of The Mighty Thor #11. "He doesn't remember what it is about Sigurd Jarlson that... irritates him. But when Dario Agger is irritated - with a man or a god - he has a very simple solution. Murder. Somewhere in the city, a man with a hammer has nowhere to go but down..."
Thus far in The Mortal Thor, Sigurd has been able to defeat his more diminutive opponents because of his sheer size advantage. But in the case of his bigger foes, like Radioactive Man, Sigurd has beaten them with his street smarts and knowledge of load-bearing columns. What's not to love about this guy? I'm willing to bet that it's going to take a lot more than just construction know-how to take down the Minotaur and Roxxon as a whole.
We'll see how it all goes down when The Mortal Thor #11 hits comic book shops on June 10, 2026.
