If there is one thing that we know about the Five Nights at Freddy’s series, it is that nothing stays dead for long. Back in August 2025, the upcoming FNAF graphic novel collection, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Tales from the Pizzaplex Vol. 2, was suddenly delayed after concerns over the art quality cropped up. Now, we have a new release date for the graphic novel collection and some brand-new cover art of one of the most iconic Five Nights at Freddy’s characters.

Tales from the Pizzaplex Vol. 2 was originally meant to launch in September 2025, but it was pulled around a month before its publishing date. No official reason was given, but the general idea was that it was due to the poor artwork in The Mimic story within the book. Anthony Morris Jr. was the list artist on the story at the time when leaked pages found their way online and were met with strong fan backlash. The general speculation was that Morris Jr. was given an incredibly tight deadline for the artwork, causing his work to suffer.
Fast forward to December 2025, and Five Nights at Freddy’s: Tales from the Pizzaplex Vol 2 is once again about to go on the market. The new release date is April 7, 2026. Not only do we have a release date for the graphic novel, but we also have brand new cover art featuring Mimic. Notably, Anthony Morris Jr., the artist who had been credited for The Mimic story in the collection, is no longer listed on the cover as one of the artists.
