As we write these words, Emerald City Comic Con 2026 hasn’t even started yet — it’s running March 5 through March 8, so if you’re in the area, there’s still time to come on down and be part of it — but we’re already looking into our crystal ball and getting messages from the future. In fact, we’ve already got the ECCC 2027 dates, and we’re ready to share them with you right now.
Emerald City Comic Con 2027 will take place at the Seattle Convention Center in sunny Seattle, Washington, from March 4, 2027 through March 7, 2027.
By continuing to dominate the first weekend of March, ECCC will continue to be the first big pop culture event of the calendar and act as the finest opener to a year of pop culture shindigs all across the U.S. — and in a year that includes additional shows including Star Wars Celebration, C2E2 and New York Comic Con. (Yes, we’re planning on being at each and every one of those shows next year, thank you very much; we’re excited to see you there.)
As of writing, tickets for ECCC 2027 aren’t on sale yet — you remember that thing we said about ECCC 2026 not having happened yet, right? — and guests for the show have yet to be announced. Rest assured that we’ll keep you up to date on everything from Emerald City Comic Con 2027 as it happens, just as we’ll be giving you all the updates we can from our intrepid team at ECCC 2026. Where is Emerald City Comic Con?
Since its inception, Emerald City Comic Con has been homed in Seattle, WA; in 2008, the event moved to the Seattle Convention Center, where it’s been located ever since — even when the Seattle Convention Center split into multiple buildings, back in 2023; for that first year, ECCC was located solely in the new building, the SCCC Summit, but in 2024, it expanded to include both the Summit and the original Arch building.
How big is the Emerald City Comic Con?
ECCC brings in somewhere around 85,000 people across its four day run, and has even brought in up to 100,000 people for specific events in the past. In other words: it’s a pretty big show.
Why is it called Emerald City?
This one’s simple; Seattle itself is nicknamed the Emerald City because of its perpetual foliage; Washington state as a whole is known as “the evergreen state” for the same reason.
