DC Comics is continuing its hot streak with the Absolute Universe with the upcoming Absolute Green Arrow series from Pornsak Pichetshote and Rafael Albuquerque. My fellow Green Arrow fans, it's our TIME.

At the ComicsPRO 2026 conference, DC's executive editor, Chris Conroy, dished on the specifics of Absolute Green Arrow, touching on how the Absolute Universe's Oliver Queen was introduced in the Absolute Evil before getting killed off in the same issue.

Conroy said, "We have two new launches this year, starting in May, with Absolute Green Arrow. This is from Pornsak Pichetshote, who is here in the room with us, one of the writers of the hit Exquisite Corpses. He is joined by Rafael Albuquerque, a legend. If any of you read the Absolute Evil one-shot that teed this up, we introduced Oliver Queen the Green Arrow — and immediately killed him. How are we going to do a book after killing the lead character? I'm so glad you asked."

"Oliver Queen may be dead. The Green Arrow is not dead. A serial killer called the Longbow Hunter is hunting down the billionaires responsible for Oliver Queen's death. Nobody knows who the Longbow Hunter is, but it is down to Agent Dinah Lance to find out. This is a slasher horror series. This is Scream, Halloween, meets Green Arrow. Six issues from Pornsak and Rafael, starting in May," concluded Conroy.

Check out the covers for Absolute Green Arrow below by Rafael Albuquerque and Marcelo Maiolo, Gerard Parel, Guillem March, Tula Lotay, and Reiko Murakami below.

Absolute Green Arrow #1 will whiz into comic shops on May 20, 2026. Happy hunting!

At the 2026 Comics PRO Annual Meeting, Popverse will be covering the announcements, the conversations, and the insight from the likes of Marvel Comics, DC Comics, VIZ Media, Yen Press, Image Comics, Skybound Entertainment, and more.
