If you thought Absolute Batman was built like a tank, wait until you see Absolute Robin in this first look

Ever since Absolute Dick Grayson was teased early on in Scott Snyder, Nick Dragotta, and Frank Martin's Absolute Batman, DC fans have been anticipating the debut of Absolute Robin. Well, the wait is officially over, because we've got the full, unredacted cover for Absolute Batman #20

"As the dust settles in the city of Gotham after the loss of [redacted]," DC's description of the issue reads, referring to something happening in the events of April 15's #19, "Robins enter the scene ready to hunt and more than one secret will be revealed in this seminal issue."

Yeah, that's a freaking mech with a huge freaking gun. Someone call Green Lantern Kyle Rayner, because he now has some stiff competition over who has the best mech in DC Comics (Kyle has a habit of creating mech constructs with his power ring). If you've ever thought to blast the Pacific Rim score by Ramin Djawadi while reading Absolute Batman and find someone you're Drift-compatible with, now's your chance.

Unrelated side note, but an actual pro hockey team called the Lehigh Valley Phantoms recreated the intro from Neon Genesis Evangelion in a video that plays before the team takes the ice each game. Perhaps we are all due for a recreation of the Evangelion intro, but with Absolute Batman?

Absolute Batman #20 will be released on May 13, 2026.
