Critical Role's Darrington Brigade deserves its own longer story, according to Whitestone Chronicles artist Aviv Or

Aviv Or, the artist on The Legend of Vox Machina: The Whitestone Chronicles Volume 3--The Briarwoods, ponders the future of Taryon Darrington's silly band of adventurers

With Taryon Darrington having made his animated debut in Critical Role's The Legend of Vox Machina season 4, we expect a lot more of the casual Critter crowd to start following the adventures of Exandria's most... er, most human artificer. And we expect some of their first questions to be something along the lines of  - where can I get more adventures of the Wayne Brady breakout character?

And in our opinion, there are few better people to ask than Aviv Or.

In case you aren't aware, Or is the artist for Dark Horse's upcoming Critical Role prequel OGN, The Legend of Vox Machina: The Whitestone Chronicles Volume 3--The Briarwoods. Before working on that project alongside author Marieke Nijkamp, though, Or was the first artist to bring the Darrington Brigade - that is, Taryon's own attempt at assembling a team of Vox Machina-comparable heroes - to life. So when we got the chance to sit down with her, we had to ask; what's next for Exandria's weirdest team of adventurers?

"They've been in these one-shot wild stories," Or told us, "They start, they explode, they wrap up on the same, game, basically. I wonder if this group of weird people can hold something longer than that? Can they do - I don't know about a full campaign - but can they do something a little longer than just a one-shot session? That's an interesting question, and I would love to explore that and see a little bit more of who these characters are other than just one weird, crazy, funny encounter."

We would too, Aviv, and I'm betting a whole legion of Critters would be as well.

The Legend of Vox Machina season 4 is streaming now on Prime Video. The Legend of Vox Machina: The Whitestone Chronicles Volume 3--The Briarwoods comes to bookstores everywhere June 30.

With two animated series on Prime Video, Campaign 4 in full swing, and so much more Exandrian lore to come, Critical Role is showing no signs of slowing down. That's why the adventuring party at Popverse are here to bring you everything we can from those nerdy-ass voice actors & Bo., including:

...and much, much more. Roll initiative, player. Magic awaits.
