If you thought the future of Archie and Sabrina the Teenage Witch rested solely within film and television, think again! Oni Press and Archie Comics have announced a new collaboration where some of the biggest names in comics will be spearheading 3 new ongoing comic book series beginning in the fall of 2026.

In a press release announcing "an ambitious and wide-ranging publishing partnership," Oni Press revealed plans not just for the initial three monthly comic book titles, but for collected editions of legacy material originally published by Archie, as well as a line of middle-grade and young-adult graphic novels featuring Archie Comics characters.

The Archie line at Oni will be overseen by Oni Press Editor-in-Chief Sierra Hahn with additional contributions from Senior Editor Bess Pallares and Editor Megan Brown with guidance from Archie Comics' own Senior Director of Editorial Jamie Rotante and Editor & Art Director Vincent Lovallo; in a statement, Hahn said that conversations between the publishers have been ongoing for many months by this point. "Behind the scenes, for the better part of a year, we've been challenging ourselves to re-conceptualize a Riverdale that's at once informed by all eras of Archie's past, while also defining an utterly unique path into the future," she teased.

"At the heart of everything we do, Archie's representation on the printed page is always the starting point for each great leap forward our company has experienced," added Jesse Goldwater, Archie Publications, Inc. SVP of creative. "From our very first conversations with Hunter [Gorinson, Oni Press editor-in-chief], Sierra, and the Oni team, we knew that these were the ideal partners to write a new chapter for Riverdale – one that's faithful to the past, while unafraid to chart new territory for the future."

The collaboration between the publishers will begin in September 2026 with the launch of a series titled simply Archie, followed by October 2026's launch of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and November's Archie in Hell.

W. Maxwell Prince will be writing Archie, with art by Fábio Moon and Nick Cagnetti, while Corinna Bechko will be writing Sabrina the Teenage Witch with art by Kano. Lastly, Patrick Horvath will write Archie in Hell, with art by Tyler Crook. With this new line, we’re hoping to forge an All-Star Superman moment for Archie’s brilliant constellation of characters – whether it’s W. Maxwell Prince, Fábio Moon and Nick Cagnetti on Archie, Corinna Bechko and Kano on Sabrina, or Patrick Horvath and Tyler Crook on their own Hell of a title, rest assured: You’ve never read an Archie comic quite like these before," Hahn said of the initial launch titles. Give Archie his own version of Everything, Everywhere, All At Once already!

David Steward II, the chairman of the Oni-Lion Forge Publishing Group, said about Oni and Archie's partnership, "This new partnership is one of the most significant moments in Oni Press' three decades as a leading publisher of independent comics, and, in collaboration with the Archie team, we look forward to writing a memorable new chapter in the history of these legendary characters that will set the stage for decades worth of stories yet to come."

If you've been looking for a chance to jump back into the world of Archie, then look no further.
