We love a good crossover, but surely, they’ve all been done before? There are no new mash-ups to do, right? Wrong! During a closed-door retailer panel at San Diego Comic Con 2025, Marvel announced their newest crossover as Captain America finds himself face-to-face with Aliens. And not just any aliens – the deadly Xenomorphs from the Alien franchise.

How exactly does something like this happen, and how does Captain America fight Xenomorphs?  We’ll find out when Alien vs. Captain America #1 goes on sale in November 2025. Written by Frank Tieri with art by Stefano Raffaele and cover by Leinil Francis Yu (variant by Dan Panosian), Alien vs. Captain America is a four-issue limited series that follows an alternate universe where Red Skull manages to discover and weaponize the Xenomorphs during World War II.

The description for the new series paints a grim picture for Captain America’s chances and gives the reasoning for why, exactly, Xenomorphs from Alien are stomping around Europe in the 1940s. “It's World War II and Hydra seeks a new weapon to defeat the Allies and win the war. To that end, the Red Skull has sent Baron Strucker on an expedition to the Himalayas to find the fabled city of Atilan. But instead of finding the Inhumans, Strucker uncovers something much more deadly. Much more... Alien. Can Captain America and the Howling Commandoes stop the Skull and his newfound xenomorph weapons... or will the First Avenger learn that in war-torn Europe... no one can hear you scream?”
