Imagine an adults-only comic crowdfunding site, that can handle payments, printing, and fulfillment
The co-founder of the crowdfunding site Zoop is looking to get into the adults-only space.

Imagine a crowdfunding site where mature-oriented comics and artbooks weren't only allowed but encouraged. Kickstarter can't do that for you, with its strict ban on "pornographic material". I'm not saying its wrong, but there are comics and art books made by adults, for adults that have merit, even if Kickstarter doesn't feel comfortable platforming it.
It looks like a rival crowdfunding site sees an opening, and is diving in.
One of the founders of the up-and-coming crowdfunding site Zoop, Jordan Plosky, has spent the past few days metaphorically cold-calling adult comics and art creators on social media with a simple and public message:
"We're launching an adult only pre-order site. Adult friendly payment processor, age gate, and no Kickstarter censorship. If you are looking to print an edition of your work, we can help with printing, fulfillment, and more. Can we discuss? follow back or DM!?"
Plosky has spent the last five years as co-founder/CEO of the crowdfunding site Zoop, which has fostered independent creators as well as the likes of former Marvel CCO/editor-in-chief Joe Quesada, Conan writer Jim Zub, AWA Studios, Thanos creator Jim Starlin, Vault Comics, IDW Publishing, and more. Prior to that he built a digital comics platform called ComicBlitz, which he ended up selling to the streaming/theatrical distributor, Cineverse.
But is this "adults only pre-order site" a new side of Zoop, or something else? Tell us what you want to see in the comments.
