Bridgerton spin-offs: Which character could get their own Netflix series in the future?
Netflix know a good thing when they see it.

If there is one thing that Netflix knows how to do, it is getting more out of their hit shows. It's why a Stranger Things play is hitting London this year and why we’re gearing up for a potential Wednesday spin-off starring Uncle Fester. With Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story delivering big for Netflix, we wouldn’t be surprised if another Bridgerton spin-off gets released on Netflix.
It didn’t take long after the 2023 premier of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story for rumors to start circulating about other spin-offs featuring some of the other characters from the show. Nothing has been confirmed yet, possibly because we’re still waiting for both seasons three and four of Bridgerton to come out in the meantime, but that doesn’t mean interest isn’t there.
At the premiere of Queen Charlotte in London, executive producer Shonda Rhimes told Hello! that, “There’s no plan to explore anybody in particular. I was just doing this because I was so passionate about the subject. In writing [Queen Charlotte], I got very interested in Violet’s story, so we’ll see.”
So there aren’t any plans for a second Bridgerton spin-off just yet, but it looks like Violet would be the subject of one if it came up. However, Julia Quinn, the author of the Bridgerton book series, has thrown a bit of cold water on the theory by saying, “I don’t think I could come up with a good enough story for her,” in an entry on her blog. If that changes, and the demand is there after the upcoming seasons of Bridgerton, maybe we’ll get to see Violet’s story get a bit of special focus.
In either case, we don’t expect to see anything announced until well after season three of Bridgerton airs in summer 2024.
