Blumhouse's highly anticipated reboot of the Universal Monsters flick Wolf Man was center stage just now at CinemaCon 2024, and we got a first look.

Co-writer/director Leigh Whannell shared some the first footage from the Wolf Man reboot as an exclusive for those of us in attendance for this closed-door CinemaCon presentation.

The footage shows Christopher Abbott (Girls, Catch-22) in the titular role of the Wolf Man (AKA Lawrence 'Larry' Talbot), as part of a family stuck in a remote cabin deep in the forest. Something in the woods is apparently stalking them according to the footage, resulting in Abbott's character being bit - therefore turning into the titular Wolf Man.

"The only thing we want to do is keep the bad things outside, but they may already be inside," is something said in the footage.

Abbott is joined in Wolf Man by co-stars Julia Garner (Ozark) and Sam Jaeger (The Handmaid's Tale).

Wolf Man only began shooting on March 17, 2024, so this footage is extremely early - and likely to be unfinished, and perhaps never shown (at least in its present form).

Wolf Man debuts January 17, 2025 in theaters.
